Arne Jacobsen’s high-rise hotel for SAS in Copenhagen, still operating as a Radisson Collection—architecture you can read overnight.
He designed the curtain-wall box together with the Egg and Swan chairs in the lobby. Most guest rooms have been refurbished; Room 606 keeps the 1960 interior. The hotel is bookable, but 606 itself is no longer rented—ask the hotel about a viewing.
Highlights
- Façade grid — How does the glass-and-panel rhythm reflect sky and cloud?
- Lobby furniture — How do the chair curves contrast with the rectangular tower?
